Take the plunge

There are endless options for outdoor water activities while on vacation, including snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, surfing, boogie boarding or even aqua cycling. Enjoy the tropical surroundings from above and below the water.  Give yogaquatics or swimmercise classes a try – perfect way to tone up while minimizing the impact on your joints.

Climb a mountain

Explore the local hiking trails; a great activity for all ages and abilities.  Many are paved with walkers while others may be rugged, rocky and off the beaten path. Depending on what you are in search of and the age of your children, there is something for everyone. Not only will you be getting an aerobic and overall body workout but you will also encounter some breath taking views and diverse wildlife.

Hit the road

Many cities offer a guided walking tour through their historic town. The best way to explore the sights is to get out on foot! Experience the culture through interactions with the locals, discover trinkets and treasures that are unique to the community, all while moving at your own pace and achieving the recommended 10,000 steps per day.
