Spring has sprung! The recent time change brought upon longer days ahead, which means more time to enjoy the outdoors and reconnect with Mother Nature herself! Take this opportunity to awaken your senses and your whole family from the “winter blahs” and leap into the warmth and sunshine that Spring has to offer.
Let’s All Pitch In: Kids will love the idea of planting a vegetable garden and reaping the rewards at the dinner table. Shoveling, raking and trimming are great forms of fitness not to mention very therapeutic. The hard work on the yard might just be the envy of your neighbors.
Catch Me If You Can: Gather up friends and family for a game of flag football or toss a Frisbee for a classic game of catch! The kids will love exerting their energy and the fresh air will rejuvenate the entire family.
A Hunting We Will Go: With Easter around the corner, why not take the kids out for a scavenger hunt? Whether you are seeking colored filled eggs or objects around your neighborhood, this is a great fun-filled activity that gets everyone up on their feet and moving!
Paddle’s Up: Grab a paddle and play a game of ping pong. Kids will perfect their hand-eye coordination, balance and quick reflexes. Hit the water and take a ride in a canoe or kayak. Work your upper and lower body muscles, whilst simultaneously taking in the beautiful scenery and fresh air.
All Washed Up: Grab the kiddies and give them the funnest chore of all – washing your car (or cars!). Kids love getting sudsy and bubbly and it’s a great opportunity to get them outside and active. Even toddlers can participate with this fun activity, and hey, getting a free car wash is not so bad!
